After the fiasco of trying to pick up our reserved car from Alamo at CDG airport, whose agent required us to have a same day boarding pass, we luckily were able to get a car from Hertz without a reservation, at a reasonable price. The agent from Hertz was extra nice to us, we think because Phil was wearing his Paris Saint-Germain soccer jersey in anticipation of them playing Inter-Milan in the UEFA Champions League final that evening. We did bring good luck to PSG, as they defeated Inter-Milan 5-0 to win their first European Club title that night.

After 3.5 hours drive, we took a break at a rest stop in La Colombe area. The store sold butter biscuits, Les Sablés de La Mère Poulard, that appeared to be very popular. Out of curiosity, we picked up a small sample box.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The butter biscuits were AMAZING! We did not realize how good they tasted, and we also did not realize that they are famous for this area of Normandie. If you are in the area, you should definitely pick up a large amount of these biscuits so you can enjoy them and bring them home.
