In order to get a seat, you have to show up as soon as the chef and his wife arrive in the morning and put up the sign-up sheet.
On our first attempt, we showed up at 8:20am and the sign-up sheet was completely full for all three seatings of the day.
On our second attempt, Ric Ric showed up at 8:15am and scored the last four seats for the 2:15 seating.
The first course was Spicy Miso soup; the spiciness took it to a whole new level! Yum...
The second course was slightly seared salmon with mushroom. Again, really good.
The third course was strangely one single dumpling with lamb stuffing. It tasted good but was unexpected as part of the menu.
The fourth course was shrimp and some kind of crispy potato cake, topped with broccoli sprouts.
The fifth course was an egg custard topped by white peppercorn. The custard was very silky but also very peppery.
The hand rolls were amazing; the rice was incredibly well seasoned.
This was an amazing dining experience. The chef was very entertaining and loved to talk.
The only down-side is the morning stop to get your name on the list.
