Le Petit Vendôme was voted World's Best Sandwich by Time Out in 2025. Today was a good day to try their "jambon beurre," the classic ham and butter baguette.
They open for lunch at noon, but allowed us to get a table to order sandwiches. Most other customers ordered sandwiches to go.
We wanted to get a good brunch before our two-hour reservation at Substance Café, starting at 12:30pm.

RECOMMENDATIONS: This was not the best baguette sandwich for us. We still craved the Iberian ham baguette from Mercado Victoria in Cordoba, Spain. It was the baguette that made the difference: the baguette at the market place in Cordoba had a thinner crust yet very crispy, and this baguette had a thicker harder crust. This was still a classic and wonderful "jambon beurre," but did not qualify as "best in the world" in our humble opinion.
